I'm celebrating 12 years of almost daily entrepreneurship. đ„ł
Here are 12 lessons learned from this adventure (notes to self). đ
1. In the beginning, choose an activity/theme that you enjoy and whose audience is stable or growing.
âĄïž It's hard to persevere through the lows without intrinsic motivation.
2. Entrepreneurship is not a sprint but an ultra-trail.
đĄ For each decision: is it also beneficial in the long term?
3. Simplicity is necessary to keep the activity light to manage.
âĄïž Ask yourself: is there a simpler way of doing this?
4. Fail fast.
đĄ The key is to identify it quickly, then pivot.
5. Work smart.
âĄïž How can I do this as efficiently as possible?
6. Develop new skills.
đĄ Learning is a fun and... never-ending process.
7. Networking is important. Even for someone who's a bit of a loner.
âĄïž Meeting and exchanging with new people on a regular basis.
8. Sleep well.
đĄ It's a prerequisite for good efficiency and sound decisions.
9. Travel. Even if it complicates your organization.
âĄïž Travel opens your mind and brings you new perspectives.
10. Take calculated risks.
đĄ Invest in yourself. And also in what brings tangible results to your company.
11. When you want something, ask for it.
âĄïž Asking costs nothing and can open doors.
12. Have fun.
đĄ The path is the destination. â
Do any of these points speak to you in particular?
If so, which one?
